WCC Swim Team Parents:

We hope everyone had a great 4th of July and continues to have a great weekend! 

There is a lot of info below, so PLEASE read through and maybe print a copy for your reference. :) 

Coach Gretta sent the line up (attached) this morning so you know if your child is swimming in the Interclub Swim Meet - Monday 7/8. 

PEP RALLY

All swimmers and their families are welcome at the Pep Rally whether they're swimming or not! 

What to Wear:  Team Suit, Neon Team Shirt, Neon Stuff (we will provide some neon accessories) 

No sharpie-labeled arms for Interclub.

Where:  WCC Outdoor Pavilion (park in grass lot behind the pool)

Schedule (approximate):

12pm - Dryland Yoga/Stretching & Games with Coaches, Poster Decorating

12:30pm - Lunch (Jimmy John's Subs, Chips, Fruit, Cookies, Drinks), Poster Decorating

1:15pm - Decorate Cars (in the grass lot behind the pool)

2:00pm - Caravan to IU Natatorium

INTERCLUB

2:40pm:  Arrivals

3:00pm: Warm-Ups Begin

Where:  IU Natatorium - 901 W New York St, Indianapolis, IN 46202

Parking Garage - there are two and both work to get you to the Natatorium. But, the The "Sports Garage" is the North garage and has a skywalk to enter the main building. There is likely a fee to park. 

North Garage:  815 W New York Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202 (enter off Blake St/Ohio St)

South Garage:  245 University Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46202 (enter off University / W Wabash St)

Admission - there is an admission fee (individuals 18+) when you enter. 

What to Bring: Bag with Goggles, Towel, Dry Clothes (to change after), Water Bottle and Granola Bar if needed (the meets go really fast so the kids don't need a ton of food/snacks that could just make a mess poolside). LABEL EVERYTHING!! Don't forget team suit and neon team shirt!

The following items are not permitted inside the facility: balloons, body paint, noisemakers, and coolers. 

After you Arrive:  Once you enter the Natatorium, there will be signs to follow. You will follow the staircase down to the pool to drop your swimmer. Swimmers are getting in the pool at 3pm for warm-up. After you drop your swimmer, parents will go upstairs to the main lobby and go in the doors upstairs to bleachers. When your kid is done swimming you are welcome to come get your swimmer from downstairs or they can hang with the team in the designated area until the meet is over. 

Only swimmers, timers, and our parent relay swimmers are allowed on the pool deck.

Schedule:

3:00pm - Warm-Ups

4:00pm - Meet Begins: starting with the Parents Freestyle Relay

6:00pm (approx) - Meet Ends: ending with the Coaches Medley Relay

At the conclusion of the meet, the conference champion and the Joel Leaman Spirit Award winner will be announced. 

**We need to be sure we pick up our area after the meet!**
